It was raining too hard and she can’t see anything. To make it all worse, she couldn’t find a shelter to wait for her driver to arrive. Alana just finished her volleyball training at a resort. It was sunny a while ago but then the sky decided to tear up. She told her driver to just pick her up a couple blocks away from the resort and with her situation right now, Alana regretted saying that. She was shaking from the cold air the rain brought. She knew she could just walk back to the resort but she promised her driver to meet her right there.

Alana remembered she had a jacket in her bag but groaned when she realized it was wet as well. Looking around, she searched for a shelter. But there was none. She sat on the curb, hugging herself as she waited for slow as a turtle driver.

In the corner of her eye, Alana made out a tall figure of a guy with an umbrella. He was wearing a green hooded jacket and his left hand was inside his pocket. She turned her head so she was fully facing the direction of the guy but through the hard rain, she couldn’t make out who it was. Thinking it was that guy that she hates from the boys’ volleyball team they had training with; Alana shrugged it off and didn’t even bother asking to share his umbrella with her.

Chapter 1

Alana fiddled with the old tattered bracelet that has never left her wrist for the past year ever since Megan gave it back to her and made her promise to never have feelings for Niall again.

Truth be told, it was hard. It was hard forgetting the feelings she had for someone she loved for a very long time. It was hard not to look at that certain part of her wall where Niall's poster had been. The poster was replaced by dozens of pictures of Alana and her friends. It was hard dreaming about him and when she wakes up, she knows she's not supposed to be feeling that way. But most of all, it was hard to pretend that she doesn't love the person anymore when she knows deep inside of her, her feelings are still there; buried somewhere in the deepest part of her heart and mind.

Alana was just quietly sitting on her chair in her choir class as she waits for the rest of her classmates to arrive.

"Hey Alana, cheer up. It's Friday!" Mikayla said as she, Celine and Denise sat at the empty chairs beside her. She was squished in between Denise and Celine.

The four of them all have the same passion for music and singing that's why they're in choir class together.

"That's what makes you beautiful!" Alana sang together with her other four friends that came with her to see One Direction perform at this morning talk show that she don't remember the name of.

The five boys finished their song and Alana's friends started screaming at the top of their lungs. Alana glanced at the five boys waving at the audience and she noticed Niall Horan removing something from his wrist and smiled at the crowd.

"Who wants a souvenir?" he shouted in his microphone with that sexy thick Irish accent of his.

New Story Alert: "She's Not Afraid"

Hey readers!

I've become so "dedicated" to One Direction lately which is quite surprising for me because I do not like them at first. For the past few days, my days have always been about One Direction. I couldn't voice out my love for them because (1) my brother hates One Direction and once he finds out I like them, he would start teasing me about it. Just like what happened when I used to like Justin Bieber. (2) My sister is a fan as well but not as dedicated as I am. 

With this kind of "addiction," I couldn't help but to conjure a story in my head starring my most favorite guy from the band: Niall Horan. And of course, who's the leading lady? Obviously, me.

Without any further ado, I give you the summary.

- She's not afraid of all the attention. She's not afraid of running wild. How come she's so afraid of falling in love? Is there a promise she made a long time ago that she don't want to be broken?
